Update from Pastor Rick …

Dear friend of Pine Mountain Christian Community Church,

This past week we had a good look at Colossians 3:5-10 and the things God wants to rid us of. This Sunday, January 29th, Brad Beers will be preaching, and we will be looking at Colossians 3:11 &12 which shows us the great things God wants to add to our life! I know this will be an encouraging time as we understand these wonderful qualities that we can have and enjoy because we belong to Christ.

A big "Thank You" to everyone who went to eat at La Lena Mexican restaurant last Tuesday! I don't know how much money we raised, but I'm sure it will be a big help.

Beginning this Friday night, January 27th, the Worship Band will be meeting at 6 PM at the church to begin the "Quieting the Noisy Soul" DVD series by Dr. Jim Berg. You are all invited to join them for this teaching session! If you have not had the chance to be a part of this series, this is a wonderful study on the Character of God that will build your faith as you see how great God is. Each session will only last one half hour - everyone is welcome!

Betty Welles had a knee replacement surgery last Tuesday - everything went well. If you would like to help with meals for the Welles, call Carol Dobreski at 242-1252

Choir rehearsals will resume on Thursday, February 2 at 3 PM in the sanctuary. If you like to sing, and you can sing, come join the choir!

Our All Church Family Valentine Potluck will be on Sunday, February 12 at 1 PM

All members please put this on your calendar: ANNUAL MEETING WILL BE SUNDAY, MARCH 4 AT 12:15 PM

Here's something new: As you should know, there is baby sitting for both the men's and women's Bible studies each Wednesday morning at 10 AM. Now there is baby sitting for the Thursday morning Bible study at 10 AM! Everyone is welcome to this Thursday morning Bible study of the Hebrew Names of God, taught by Don Lister.

Here is something important to know: Our church has a food pantry. If you need food or know of someone who needs food, call Don Lister - 242-1535 or Ronni Hanson at 242-2083.

All the Cedar Wood shingles from the old roof of the church have been piled in a heap at John Powell's house - If you want some great starter wood for your wood burning stove or fire place, go to 16525 Mil Potrero Highway and load up!

Please feel free to call or email me if you have a prayer need.

May we draw near to Jesus in all we do & say,

Pastor Rick

Welcome

Welcome to Pine Mountain Christian Community Church!
We are pleased you have visited us here. Our desire is to serve the families of the Mountain Communities, along with every person whom the Lord brings into our fellowship. If you have recently moved to this area or if you are looking for a church home, we invite you to consider PMCCC.

We are a Bible-believing church
We’re committed to growing in our relationship with Jesus Christ through regular worship, prayer, and Bible study.

We offer two worship styles
Our 9:00 a.m. service features contemporary style music led by our praise band. At 10:45 a.m. we worship with a mix of traditional hymns and praise songs, accompanied by organ and piano. The same practical, biblical sermon is given at both services.

During Worship Services
We offer nursery care as well as Children’s Church for children through the 3rd Grade. There is a youth Sunday School class (Jr. High and High School) during the 10:45 hour. We encourage parents and youth to attend the first service so that youth can attend both church and Sunday school.

You’re In The Mountains
So don’t worry about what to wear. We believe God looks at the inside. Feel free to dress for comfort.

Join us for our mid-week service on Wednesdays
We meet at 7:00 p.m. for singing, worship, Bible study, and prayer. It’s a great time of fellowship with the Lord and with each other!

Other Opportunities
We also offer AWANA, a great teen ministry, and helpful instruction through various weekly Bible studies.

Our Mission
The mission of PMCCC is to lead people to become fully devoted followers of Christ. This has been the basis of our ministry from the beginning and is the foundation for everything we do. For more information about us and our purpose statement, please see our “What We Believe” page.

We hope you will join us!
